Oh, My Stars!
(For Pat)
I know an old lady
Who lost all her stars;
She comes from Seattle,
Or maybe it's Mars.
She looked at the sky
On a very dark night,
But the stars had all vanished,
Disappeared from her sight.
"How shall I find them;
Oh what shall I do?
My stars are all missing,
And now the moon too."
Thus she lamented,
With a heart-rending moan,
A very old lady,
Feeling lost and alone.
