#327
Yellow, 2012
Walking in the garden,
Aimless as a bee,
Kicking fallen leaves about,
Feeling fit and free,
Found myself at the maple,
Looked up through the maple tree,
Saw the leaves full-lighted
With a yellow witchery.

Terror in the Tree
A rat snake high in a sugar maple tree
Winding up a branch is a sight to see,
With robins and wrens hopping limb to limb
Above and below and close to him.
Brave little birds, living on the edge,
Brave long snake so high above the hedge.

Hawkeye
The Hawk sat in the maple tree,
Eyeing all the feeders.
Looking for some morning sport,
He only chased the speeders.
