      Ps 100: The Attempt

When I was ten, my mama said,

"You're loud enough to raise the dead!"

Now I can yell with a certain poise,

But I still can't make a joyful noise.

"Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the lands." (Psalm 100)

                 Joyful Noise

Not all my noise is joyful,

But much of it might pass:

Singing in the shower

Or my Ave sung at Mass.

Calling for my little dog

With back door pitch and poise,

Plus all the words I pour in verse

Would count as joy full noise.
