My body isn't doing well;
It acts much like a beast from Hell:
Hurting here, stumbling there,
Falling down most anywhere.
"Damn this Beast!" I say with feeling,
While the ground beneath me's reeling.
Yet I'll triumph o'er defeat,
Or leave him for the worms to eat.

There's no brushing teeth in Heaven;
There's no body care at all,
For God's resurrection body
Repairs all the ills of the Fall.

The Resurrection body,
Never weak, nor ill, nor slow;
The Resurrection body,
A joy in which to grow,
A joy to be and know.
The will held perfectly in God,
Sin no more a threat--
The Resurrection body,
For which Christ has paid the debt.

Pain
It hurts to move my body,
Hurts to move my limbs:
